Release note
FaScan IDE 1.3.0.0
Version 1.3.0.0 gives the main application its new public name, FaScan IDE, and adds a separate FaScan RT line for running signed panel windows. The release also includes new FREE limits, standalone RT packages, logging, charts, alarm journal elements and extended panel settings.
Release date
2026-07-05. FaScan IDE FREE/PRO installers and the standalone FaScan RT FREE package are available for Windows x64.
What changed
| Area | Change | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Product name | The main desktop app is now FaScan IDE. The installer cleans old FaScan PRO/FREE folders and shortcuts. | The product line is clearer: IDE is for setup and engineering work; RT is for running prepared windows. |
| FaScan RT | A standalone RT FREE installer is available. | You can install a lightweight runtime where the full project editor is not needed. |
| RT runtime | FaScan RT runs as a single tray process. A repeated launch exits or forwards the requested `.fasrt` window to the existing process through a local channel. | Workstations avoid duplicate runtime processes and windows open predictably. |
| FREE limits | FaScan IDE FREE can export and run RT windows: up to 3 panel windows per project and 20 elements per panel window. RT FREE opens one signed window. | FREE remains useful for evaluation and small tasks, while large operating panels stay in PRO. |
| PRO | FaScan RT supports multiple signed windows in one tray process. FaScan IDE PRO remains an annual online subscription. | PRO fits real workstations with several windows, extended diagnostics and longer use. |
| Panel windows | The editor and RT runtime support signed window files, shared dark file browser, table/ruler settings and autonomous Modbus/CODESYS polling. | Panels can be prepared in IDE and moved to RT without manually rebuilding the environment. |
| Data analysis | Panel workflows now include logging, chart and alarm journal elements. | Windows can act as both a live operator surface and a diagnostic tool. |
| Builds | Installers are self-contained win-x64 packages; core assemblies are obfuscated and SHA256 sidecar files are prepared. | Integrity checks and distribution are easier without external .NET runtime assumptions. |
Download
The current installers are on the download page. For FaScan IDE the action order remains: buy PRO, download PRO, or download FREE. FaScan RT now has its own runtime description page.
